Description
Sooty layer of burnt material and silt containing many of the finds associated with the cauldron.
Interpretation
Subsurface or lower floor surface below and possibly supporting 1005 and 1022. Context 1013 is interpreted as being the same as 1025 and 1046. Contexts 1013, 1025 and 1046 were excavated in different excavation campaigns and identified in different parts of the trench, hence the different context numbers assigned.
