SU 9016 represents an arbitrary expansion of the area defined by cut SU 9009 in order to fully separate the fills of cut SU 9009 (fills SU 9010 and 9013) from fill SU 9004. The top layer fill of SU 9016 was the same material as both SU 9004 and SU 9021, all distinguished by our excavation process, but SU 9016 cut through lower deposits as well since it was excavated to the exposed level of SU 9013. SU 9016 was removed quickly, though sieved, since several stratigraphic contexts were included.
