Burned ash layer
Interpretation
C628 is a posthole at the northeast corner of the sontage.which is supposed to be a round wood stick to strengthen the wall (c601).(18.07.23)
Afer excavated it's a layer with lots of charcoal. The color of soil is gray and ashey.same as c625 and connected with c625-627. At the bottom of the layer. It came up lots of charcoal and the soil become more brownish.
