plank
Description
Heavy wooden plank with a conical circular hole through it, a lot of eroded treenail holes, and a rectangular mortise either end. Tentatively interpreted as a fish for the bilge pump (most likely fitted athwartships) through one of the decks. The rectangular mortises may have accomodated bitts or knightheads. The piece is heavily eroded, making it difficult to distinguish between treenail holes and functional holes.
