Description

en

SU 9007 represents a compact orange and brown fill below Pesce's surface SU 9005 in Area A. SU 9007 included very sparse ecofacts and artifacts, but there were small flecks of charcoal throughout SU 9007 as well as small potsherds, bone fragments, and currently one piece of bronze. The soil of SU 9007 is somewhat mottled, especially as the natural slope of underlying bedrock rises to the west of Area A. As SU 9007 transitioned to an orange color, it became sterile of cultural materials. SU 9007 overlied fill SU 9017 and cut SU 9018 along WS_81 (northern side of Area A). SU 9007 overlied fill SU 9019 and cut SU 9020 along WS_64 (southern side of Area A). SU 9007 overlied sloping bedrock (SU 9022) throughout Area A.
