Description
Colluvium
Interpretation
Removal of the colluvium above the natural soil, extending to the concentration of stones (c804) to the western side. After removing a thin layer of soil (c805) while moving on to the west, a base of a reddish clay wall-like construction was revealed (0.40m depth), with width about 2.5m (E-W), that fades into the greyish brown soil of c805. White limestone inclusions were present. After removing a thin layer of the greyish brown soil, natural soil was revealed (0.57m depth) and given a new context number.
Due to the slope and the similarity with H8-99, the possibility of a ditch was aimed to be explored.
