Description

en SU 10025 represents a light yellowish brown soil with several large chunks of mortared plaster on the southern side of Extension A. SU 10025 at first appeared as if the eastern north-south did not continue south past the east-west wall, so SU 10025 extended across the entire southern side of Extension A. Shortly after we began excavating SU 10025, we came down on the continuation of the north-south wall, at a slightly lower level. We therefore ended the excavation of the SU 10025 to open SU 10029 and SU 10030, which were divided by the presence of the wall. SU 10025 therefore could have been excavated as part of SU 10021, if we had only excavated to a slightly lower level on the southern side of Extension A. In SU 10025, as with the portion of SU 10021 overlying it, there was a high density of ceramics in the soil, much more than on the northern side of Extension A.
