SU 9041 represents the constructed foundation course of wall WS_99, comprised of rectangular cut blocks running E-W across the top of cut bedrock foundation SU 9039. The blocks that make up 9041 are all nearly identical in size and shape, measuring roughly 40cm wide by 40cm tall by 85cm long. There are ten such blocks visible within the eastern wall of Area D, though only the 6 northernmost are fully exposed. Block foundation 9041 is built as a single course with all blocks aligned with the face of underlying bedrock cut foundation 9039. Foundation blocks 9041 are roughly 5cm wider than the overlying blocks of 9042, the above ground portion of wall WS_99 above.
