SU 9028 represents a layer of quarried bedrock in Area D. SU 9028 was cut by SU 9009 to create the construction trench for the southern face of WS_98 at the north end of Area D. Bedrock SU 9028 shows evidence of quarrying activity, notably tool marks on the eastern (cut SU 9030) and western (cut SU 9029) faces that serve as foundations for WS_96 & WS_99, respectively. Bedrock SU 9028 is reddish/orange in color.
