SU 9022 represents bedrock covering the extent of Area A. SU 9022 was a friable orange sandstone with a varied, almost coral-like shape. SU 9022 was cut for construction trenches SU 9018 and SU 9020 for WS_88 and WS_64, respectively.
SU 9022 also had a circular cut (SU 9023) located in the middle of its eastern portion, close to WS_89.
