SU 8043 represents one in a series of yellowish surfaces that underlie SU 8021 within the arbitrary window we created in Area A. As such, SU 8043 was cut by SU 8023, SU 8036 and SU 8037. Like the other surfaces that were found in the window cut through the material of SU 8021, it was thin and not particularly complete, likely representing a patch job of pre-exisiting surfaces rather than an independent construction event for itself.
