SU 8034 represents the same material as SU 8012 in the original extent of the trench before its expansion to the NW of Area A. We initially gave the layer its own SU for control. However, upon pulling up the layer underneath (SU 8039) we discovered some modern material and evidence of Pesce's work in the NE end of the expanded trench.
