SU 8015 represents a soft, dark grey soil in a thick layer located in the eastern half of Area B. SU 8015 abutted SU 8014 in the middle part of Area B. Although SU 8014 was directly overlying bedrock 8029 in the western half of Area B, because of the natural slope of the bedrock (SU 8029) toward the seacoast to the east, SU 8015 overlied SU 8017, which was the layer directly overlying bedrock SU 8029 in the eastern half of Area B. SU 8015 contained few stone inclusions smaller than a fist and only a couple of larger stones. SU 8015 contained ceramic, bone, and glass inclusions as well as tesserae and one coin.
