SU 8014 represents a sandy, red, compact fill located in the western half of Area B. It was rusty in color and included significant quantities of pottery, as well as bone and tesserae. It also included a high percentage of degraded sandstone inclusions, but these rocks were largely quarter to golfball sized and often fell apart upon removal. In color SU 8014 resembled SU 8007 which overlied it, but in texture was far more compact and chunky than SU 8007. SU 8014 was cut by SU 8018, a construction trench cut for the laying over two large, worked stones (SU 8026),
