Interpretation
The context 626 corresponds to a large unworked rounded stone (L. 0.44 m, W. 0.20 m, D. 0.10 m) with flat side, found in the middle of the grave on the pelvis area of the skeleton (c623), oriented north-south and almost on the edge. According to its size, location and position, this stone is not only part of the cover of the grave but could also be a control capping stone, fallen into the inner space of the grave.
The presence of this stone constitutes one of the elements in favor of the hypothesis of an empty space burial closed with a light cover under a small stone cairn.
One can notice that right above this stone was found the deposit c617.
