Description

en SU 10049 represents a compact cut surface atop a series of leveling surfaces within the western walled structure. The leveling surfaces alternated makeups of fine white clay, red soil, and dark gray soils (photographed). The top surface did not extend under the wall, but the lower courses seem to extend under the wall. The surface was cut with a curved cut in the middle of SU 10049 as well as a small straight cut perpendicular to the south wall, forming pits in the underlying SU 10055. There were minimal inclusions.
