Trench 8 was located in the northern part of the site. It was a a 1x1 meters shovel test dug to explore a depression in the landscape.
The trench was dug to 30 centimeters and then a probe sample was taken. It showed that the moraine clay appears at a depth of about 65 centimeters. In the sample then came about 10 cm of moraine clay and can be assumed to represent sterile soil. Towards the end of the soil layer, at a depth of about 60 centimeters, beaten flint was found in the sample. This may indicate an existing cultural layer. The tranch was saved for future excavation, as the primary goal was to explore the depression in the landscape.
