Description

SU 9051 represents the cut block foundation for wall WS_64. Since WS_64 is built onto a slope, foundation 9051 begins as a single course at the western corner of the structure and drops, adding a further course below, around the area of 9049. Foundation blocks are very finely finished in their top surface, but rougher on sides and bottoms. The smallest block at the western edge of the SU measures only 32x12cm and the largest fully exposed is 104 x 32cm (widths not available due to overlying construction).
