Description

en SU 10060 represents a massive basalt boulder in the eastern end of the trench. Parts of 10060 appear to have been quarried. Under 10060 is another large basalt boulder, 10061, in the crevice between which a layer of green clay (10027) was excavated. It is still unclear if 10060 represents the natural location of the boulder, or if it was moved/placed there. 10060 was embedded at least partially in the red clay at the bottom of 10077, but that is a small enough area that it remains inconclusive. It is against 10060 that the mortared rubble wall 10062 was constructed.
