Description
en
SU 10047 represents the N-S wall in the southeastern corner of the western walled structure. 10047 is bonded to 10083, though it does not break the face of 10083. Overall, 10047 is constructed of much smaller stones (averaging 20-30 cm) than 10046 or 10083. The architecture of 10047 would indicate that it represents a later phase of construction than 10083, but the stratigraphy within the southern room of the western walled structure indicates that 10047 was built in the same phase as the rest of the western walled structure (and the fact that 10045 breaks the face of 10043 would also indicate that the southern room existed as such since the inception of the building). Though the foundation course 10059 is not as prominent under 10047, it is still visible.
