Description

en SU 10043 initially represented the main E-W wall in the western walled structure, running approximately 5 meters from the western edge of the trench. However, after further excavation revealed the presence of a blocked doorway in the middle of the wall, further wall segments were identified, and 10043 now only represents the portion of the E-W wall west of the doorway. The wall is constructed without mortar, and is built primarily from sandstone blocks, though several basalt stones are also visible. The face of the former doorway is constructed from a single tall sandstone orthostat that runs the entire height of the preserved wall. 10043 is built atop the foundation course 10081, and is bonded with the two N-S wall segments 10044 and 10045.
