Description

en

SU 10076 represents a light yellow-whitish brown surface and subsequent rubble fill in the middle of the trench. The surface is compact and mottled, and is not well preserved in the middle of the extent of the SU, where the rubble fill is more apparent. We excavated the surface in the western portion, under which a layer of red soil was found. This red soil had been cut and the fill of 10076 inserted. The fill portion of 10076 contained massive amounts of stone with soil between them, but also with pockets of air still present. More ceramics were found near the top of the fill, whereas at the bottom, the fill was constituted almost entirely by rocks. We did not excavate the entirety of 10076, but after digging down about a meter through 10076, we were able to find the natural bedrock layer 10085 underneath.
