SU 8020 represents the material laid in preparation for the base lining SU 8013 and construction of Drain 3. Because SU 8020 was mostly located underneath Drain 3, we were unable to clearly identify it as a separate SU under a larger cross-section underneath Drain 3 was revealed. For this reason, SU 8020 was not provided an SU number until after it had been fully revealed in the cross section. As SU 8020 supports Drain 3 neither will be removed.
Photos of SU 8020 include a detail photo of the cross-section showing SU 8020 located directly underneath the tile lining (SU 8013) under Drain 3. A small portion of SU 8020 may have been excavated as part of SU 8005, but it was not distinguishable in that SU from the rest of the fill material that made up SU 8005.
