Interpretation
The context 621 correspond to a small heap of bones blended with loose soil found close to the southern edge of the pit, near the right upper arm of the skeleton and which extend on the inner side of the outer layer of the cover stones (c618). It includes a long bone and ribs, that actually might have belonged to the skeleton c623 (part of the arm and right ribs ?). That is why the interpretation of this deposit is not clear. Rather than an deliberate secondary deposit, or a secondary burial, we propose for now to consider it as a the result of bioturbations (animals). Nonetheless, the osteological analysis will help to better understand this layer.
